Overview
Lore AI is built for Indian founders. We take your privacy seriously. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and how we protect it. By using Lore, you agree to the terms described here.
What we collect
- Account information — your name and email address, collected via our authentication provider (Clerk), including Google sign-in
- Profile data — what you're building, your startup stage, and other onboarding answers
- Conversation content — messages you send to Lore and responses generated for you
- Usage data — feature interactions, session duration, pages visited
- Uploaded documents — PDFs you attach for analysis (processed and not stored permanently)
AI providers we use
Lore's AI responses are powered by Anthropic's Claude API, xAI's Grok API, and Perplexity's API. When you send a message, your conversation is transmitted to these providers' servers for processing.
- Anthropic — powers core reasoning, document analysis, and co-founder mode. Anthropic is based in the USA. Their privacy policy: anthropic.com/privacy
- xAI (Grok) — used for specific analytical and research tasks. xAI is based in the USA. Their privacy policy: x.ai/legal/privacy
- Perplexity — used for idea validation and research tasks. Perplexity is based in the USA. Their privacy policy: perplexity.ai/hub/legal/privacy-policy
By using Lore, you acknowledge that your conversation data is processed by these third parties in accordance with their own privacy policies. We do not sell your data to any of them — they process it only to fulfil your requests.
How we use your data
- To provide and improve the Lore AI service
- To personalise your experience based on your startup context
- To generate AI responses relevant to your questions
- To maintain your chat history and priorities across sessions
- To send important service updates (no marketing without consent)
Data storage
Your account data and conversation history are stored securely using Convex, a managed database platform with encryption at rest. Uploaded PDFs are processed in memory and not stored permanently after the session ends.
Data retention
We retain your account data and conversation history for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your data at any time by emailing us. We will delete your data within 30 days of a valid request.
Your rights
- Access — request a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correction — update or correct your personal information
- Deletion — request complete removal of your account and data
- Portability — export your conversation history
Cookies
We use essential cookies for authentication (via Clerk) and session management. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
